Planning tips

Check road conditions and lookout accessibility. Some viewpoints are step‑free; others have stairs or uneven paths.
Allow time for short walks and towns—many routes have picnic spots, boardwalks, and Playgrounds.
Summer and holiday periods are busy—book stays early and check event calendars.
Wildlife and surf safety: observe signs, avoid driving at dawn/dusk in regional areas, and swim at patrolled beaches.

Facilities on the way

Find toilets, parents’ rooms, and showers with the Toilet Finder or AussieLoo app.
Some beach showers are cold-water only; indoor pools may have hot showers.
Accessible parking and viewing areas are common at major lookouts—check each route page for details.
