Terms of Use

Last updated: 28 October 2026

These terms apply when you use australiaweb.net (“Australia Web”, “we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

1. What the site is

Australia Web is a free travel guide with places to visit, hidden gems, events, toilet and facility information, and free listings for tourism businesses. It is general information only. We are not a travel agent, we don’t sell bookings, and we are not part of any government agency.

2. Information may change

Much of our place information comes from open data such as OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) and from visitors and businesses. Opening hours, access, facilities, prices and event dates can change without notice. Please check with the venue, operator or official source before you travel, especially for accessibility needs, safety, road conditions and park closures.

3. Things you send us

When you submit an event, a business listing, a hidden gem, a photo or feedback, you confirm that it is accurate, that you have the right to share it, and that it is family-friendly. You keep ownership of what you send, and you let us show it on the site and edit it for length, clarity or safety. We check submissions before they appear and may decline or remove anything at any time.

4. Business listings

Basic listings are free. If you claim a listing, you must be the owner or authorised to act for the business. We may ask you to confirm this. Please keep your details up to date and tell us if your business closes.

5. Links to other sites

We link to other websites, maps and videos for your convenience. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices.

6. Use the site fairly

Please don’t post spam, false or offensive content, try to break or overload the site, or copy large parts of it automatically.

7. Our responsibility

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and we can’t promise it will always be correct or online. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on the site. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Privacy, changes and contact

How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version at the top. Questions or problems? Please use our contact page or the Feedback button.
